WebDAV Dropbox Google Drive

You'll need a WebDAV server you control. Nextcloud is a good free one to run yourself. In it: 1. find your WebDAV address (usually https://your-host/remote.php/dav/files/your-username), 2. your username, and 3. an app password (Nextcloud: Settings, Security), not your main password. The server also needs to allow cross-origin requests (CORS), or the browser will block the sync.

Connect your own Dropbox. Your writing lives in your Dropbox, inside this app's own folder; we never see it and there's no account with us.

Connect your own Google Drive. Your writing lives in your Drive, in one file this app creates; we never see it and there's no account with us. Signing in briefly loads Google's sign-in code, and Google may occasionally ask you to sign in again.

Encryption (optional) Encryption passphrase

A passphrase encrypts the synced copy so only you can read it, even on your own server or cloud. We can't recover it: if you lose it the synced copy is unreadable, but the copy on this device is always safe. Use the same passphrase on every device.
